Cost of living

​Poland is known as an ideal study destination for international students, not only because of its excellent educational quality but also because of its affordable living costs. Below is an overview of the living expenses students should keep in mind when planning to study and live in Poland.

Housing

  • University dormitory: From 100-150 EUR/month.

  • Renting a private house: Depending on the city and type of accommodation, prices can range from 200-500 EUR/month for a room in a shared apartment or studio apartment.

Meals

  • ​Self-cooking: Monthly food shopping costs about 100-150 EUR.

  • Eating out: A meal at a average restaurant costs about 5-10 EUR.

Transportation

  • Monthly ticket for students: Around 15-25 EUR, depending on the city, allowing unlimited use of public transport.

Entertainment and Social Activities

  • ​Cinemas, museums, and other cultural activities: Approximately 5-15 EUR per activity. Many places offer student discounts.
